Our athletic teams are nationally recognized and academically successful.

Students can participate in men’s basketball, baseball, softball, women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming, and cross country. SGSC athletics draw athletes from throughout Georgia as well as other states and countries. The Douglas Campus features a nine-hole golf course, a baseball stadium, softball field, and soccer field. The Wellness Center houses an indoor junior Olympic-size pool and a basketball court. The Waycross Campus has its own array of recreational venues, including two lakes, a paracourse walking trail that meanders through the 150-acre campus, a gymnasium which is home to the Hawks Basketball team, and tennis and racquetball courts. SGSC is committed to assisting each student athlete in attaining a high level of academic excellence. The campus community is always invited to cheer for their favorite Hawks team!
