BSM Admissions Requirements
All BSM applicants must complete an application to SGSC and be accepted by the SGSC Office of Admissions or be a currently enrolled SGSC student. No standardized placement test scores are required for admission to the BSM program. Applicants can be admitted to the program as juniors providing they hold an Associate of Science degree, have met the prerequisite course requirements and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. In addition to the Application for Bachelor's Degrees of Professional Studies, applicants must submit official, final transcripts from any college the applicant has attended other than SGSC to both the SGSC Office of Admissions and to Dr. Joseph Holloway. Currently enrolled students do not need to submit any transcripts unless they have attended another college or university.
Students who do not hold an Associate of Science in Business Administration must complete Area F requirements . Students who do not meet these requirements but desire to be admitted to the degree program will be granted provisional acceptance to give them time to complete the required courses. Up to 12 hours of prerequisite courses may be taken in lieu of elective course options so that students remain within the 60 credits required for the degree provided they have met all the requirements for the associate of science degree.
Admission to the BSM program is competitive; therefore, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Applicants who, in the judgment of the Admissions Committee, present the strongest academic record and who show the most promise of success in the program will be accepted. If you require special accommodations, please contact the Office of Disability Services prior to admission.
All required documentation must be submitted to SGSC by the required application deadline for the program in order to be considered for admission. This application will remain on file during the current application cycle. Applicants must submit a new application for the next application cycle if they are not selected for this cohort.
