Daniel Peace named GCAA’s Player of the Week

South Georgia State College’s Daniel Peace was named the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association’s (GCAA) Division I Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 15-21, 2014.

Peace, a 6’1” sophomore from Decatur, Ga., averaged 8.5 points, 8 assists, and 4.5 steals in wins over Chattahoochee Tech (Dec. 16) and Fort Benning (Dec. 18).

This is the fourth Player of the Week honor this season for SGSC’s men’s basketball team.  The Hawks (14-1, 3-0) have won nine consecutive games and are ranked No. 24 in the latest NJCAA basketball poll.  The national ranking is the first for SGSC basketball in the program’s five-year history.
