Learning in Action

Teacher Candidate Diana Franco helps students learn to count using 10 Frames at Indian Creek Elementary in Ms. Becky Shearl’s class. Diana is currently participating in her weekly teacher internship practicum as part of her studies in SGSC’s Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Special Education program. Our students begin the internship phase of the program while in their first semester as juniors. They receive expert guidance from Coffee and Ware county Mentor teachers such as Ms. Becky Shearl. This practical classroom experience is very important and provides for a solid foundation in the development of our next generation of classroom teachers.
