Tyrone Sam Receives Third GCAA Player Of The Week Honor

South Georgia State College’s (SGSC) Tyrone Sam has been named the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association’s (GCAA) Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 11-17. This is the third time Sam has received the honor this season.

A sophomore from Roswell, Ga., Sam averaged 28 points, 2.3 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 steals in games against Faith Baptist Post Graduate, East Georgia State, and Central Georgia Tech.

The Hawks (17-3, 4-2) will host Chattahoochee Tech Saturday, Jan. 30 at 4 p.m. on SGSC’s Waycross Campus.
