Tyrone Sam Named GCAA Player Of The Week

South Georgia State College’s (SGSC) Tyrone Sam has been named the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association’s (GCAA) Player of the Week for week one of the 2015-2016 basketball season.

A sophomore from Roswell, Ga., Sam finished with 27 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and four steals in the season opener Oct. 31 against Middle Georgia Prep.

The Hawks (2-0) host TAAG Academy this Saturday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. on SGSC’s Waycross Campus.
