The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association has selected South Georgia State College’s Jayce Moore as the Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Moore, a 6’3” sophomore from Douglas Ga., averaged 20 points, 14.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 1.5 blocks, and four assists in last week’s games against East Georgia State and Southern Crescent Tech. For the season, Moore is averaging 13.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. His rebounds per game average remains second in the GCAA.

Moore is currently in the top five in the GCAA in the following categories – offensive rebounds (101 – 1st), defensive rebounds (105 – 5th), total rebounds (206 – 2nd), assists (106 – 3rd), assist to turnover ratio (2.9 – 3rd), and steals (110 – 1st).

The Hawks (17-5, 6-2) host South Georgia Tech Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on SGSC’s Waycross Campus.

General admission to all regular season home games is five dollars with children five and under admitted free.
