The program focused on providing a critical analysis of the ACEN Standards and Criteria for nursing education excellence.
According to the ACEN website, the event offered hands-on engagement in developing strategies to ensure compliance with the ACEN Accreditation Standards and best practices in assessment and evaluation for the betterment of the nursing education program. SGSC’s School of Nursing currently offers three tracks leading to a professional career in nursing.
• The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is offered in two tracks – a generic and bridge (LPN-RN). Both tracks lead to eligibility to take licensing examination to be a Registered Nurse (RN).
• RN-to-BSN: For registered nurses seeking to advance their education, SGSC provides a RN-BSN program that facilitates a seamless transition from an ASN to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
