SGSC now accepting nominations for Athletic Hall of Fame

Nominations are now being accepted for induction into the South Georgia State College (SGSC) Athletic Hall of Fame. The South Georgia State College Athletic Hall of Fame was created to honor outstanding athletes, teams, administrators and coaches who have distinguished themselves either by performance on the field of play or contributions to society in general.
A committee led by the Athletic Director of South Georgia State College will select inductees to the Hall of Fame according to the following guidelines. The Athletic Hall of Fame will be open to a person or team who has made an outstanding contribution to South Georgia State College as a superior competitor in SGSC intercollegiate athletics, as well as other collegiate or professional level of competition or a coach, administrator or athletic official who has made a long-term contribution to SGSC athletics through strong leadership and exceptional effort.
In order to be nominated a time period of ten (10) years must have elapsed since graduation for a student-athlete or a time period of five (5) years must have elapsed since a coach, administrator or athletic official has held an official capacity at South Georgia State College.
The nomination form and criteria may be found at the alumni area of our site or you may pick up a nomination form in the Office of External Affairs on the Douglas Campus in Richey Hall. The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, April 20, 2018. Nominations may be emailed to externalaffairs@sgsc.edu, faxed to 912-260-4447 or mailed to the SGSC Office of External Affairs at 100 West College Park Drive, Douglas, Georgia 31533.
