The Hawks (5-1) reached their 100-win milestone Friday night with a 110-64 win over Daytona Basketball Academy.  Cody Helgeland led the Hawks with 21 points and seven rebounds.  Jovante’ Spivey had 20 points and three steals.  Deaundray Rhett finished with 18 points, and Demontrez Austin had a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds.

SGSC’s five-game winning streak was snapped Saturday afternoon with an 87-72 loss to Tallahassee Community College (TCC).  Spivey had 21 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.  Helgeland finished with 18 points and eight rebounds.

The Hawks led 42-41 at halftime but saw their small lead evaporate when TCC opened the second half with a 12-2 run and never looked back.

The Hawks travel to Brewton-Parker College Tuesday night to play BPC’s junior varsity team.  They return home Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. to open a four-game homestand against the College of Central Florida.

General admission to all regular season home games is five dollars with children five and under admitted free.
