Mayo Clinic Health System Auxiliary makes scholarship contribution

The auxiliary at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross recently made a significant contribution to its endowed scholarship at South Georgia State College (SGSC).  The scholarship was established in 1983 and is awarded to students on SGSC’s Waycross Campus who are majoring in nursing.  SGSC President Dr. Virginia Carson (second from left) met with auxiliary members (L-R) Bill Deason, Frances Dye, and auxiliary president Frankie Royer to thank them for the auxiliary’s contribution and for the continued partnership between the two organizations.  For more information about the auxiliary’s scholarship and how to apply, contact Stephanie Smith, director of volunteers at Mayo, at (912) 338-6326.
