Hawks Baseball Seeded Second as They Head to Conference Tournament

After defeating Gordon State College in three of the week’s four games, the South Georgia State College Hawks baseball team has been seeded second in the conference tournament, which will be held May 6-9. The Hawks have a 19-13 conference record, and a 33-20 overall record for the season.

SGSC Baseball head coach Jeff Timothy is proud of what the Hawks have accomplished this season. “They’ve done a fantastic job. They’ve worked hard all season long and it has paid off. We are now preparing for the conference tournament, where the Hawks will make their school proud.”

The games against Gordon State College ended in a win of 6-0 on Monday, a win of 5-0 on Friday, and a split double header on Saturday with a win of 3-1 and a loss of 10-6.

The Georgia College Athletic Association Baseball Championship Tournament will be hosted by Darton State College in Albany from May 6-9, 2015.
