Feb. 3: SGSC Hawks Defeats TCC in Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, but the South Georgia State College (SGSC) Hawks defeated Tallahassee Community College (TCC) 3-1. SGSC’s pitchers allowed just seven hits to TCC.

The Hawks scattered eight hits in the game. JR Lonon, Christian Campbell and Tyler Spence all collected two hits for SGSC. One hit each was contributed by Kody Krause, Mason Spivey and Anthony Calabro.

Jacob Fletcher led the Hawks to victory on the mound. He went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out four and walking zero. Matthew Grizzle threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen. Grizzle recorded the last 12 outs to earn the save for SGSC.
