Baseball Camp Scheduled at SGSC

All aspiring baseball players ages six and up are encouraged to attend South Georgia State College’s Hawk Baseball Day Camp. Attendees will receive instruction from Jeff Timothy, SGSC head baseball coach, as well as current and former SGSC players.

Campers will be instructed on both defensive and offensive skills. Defensive skills will include throwing and catching techniques as well as individual position instruction. Offensive skills will include hitting, bunting, and base running techniques.


The four-day session is scheduled for the week of July 7, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., on the Douglas campus. The camp is $75 per camper and will be held at the George A. Cook Stadium. Participants are to wear baseball uniforms, shorts are acceptable, and bring their bat and glove.
