B.S. in Elementary/Special Education

Introduction

South Georgia State College (SGSC) and the University of North Georgia (UNG) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which will provide students at SGSC the opportunity to obtain a dual certification degree in elementary education and special education.

Pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, students attending SGSC will be able to complete the four-year Early Childhood/Special Education program (P-5) and qualify for teacher certification through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC). Students graduating from this program will receive a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Special Education degree from SGSC. 

Informational Sessions

SGSC will conduct important informational meetings concerning the new Bachelor’s in Elementary/Special Education Program (P-5).

May 6 in (Douglas) Davis Hall room 102 at 5:30 pm

May 7th in (Waycross) Educational Building Auditorium at 5:30 pm
