VISION

MISSION

South Georgia State College, a state college of the University System of Georgia, is a multi-campus, student-centered institution offering high-quality associate and select baccalaureate degree programs. The institution provides innovative teaching and learning experiences, a rich array of student activities and athletic programs, access to unique ecological sites, and residential options to create a diverse, globally-focused, and supportive learning environment.

Current Mission was approved by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia May 8, 2012.

South Georgia State College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the associate and baccalaureate degree. ACCREDITATION (NLNAC)
South Georgia State College A.S.N. Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326, Phone # 404.975.5000). The RN-BSN program is in Candidacy Status.

APPROVAL (GBON)
The South Georgia State College School of Nursing continues full approval for the ASN program and Initial approval for the RN-BSN nursing program by the Georgia Board of Nursing (237 Coliseum Drive; Macon, GA 31217-3858; phone - 478-207-1640).
