James M. Dye Foundation Receives Support From Satilla REMC Foundation

Sue Johnson (center), public relations coordinator for the Satilla Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC), recently presented a contribution on behalf of the Satilla REMC Foundation to the James M. Dye Foundation’s FY 2017 Annual Giving Campaign. Accepting the check was South Georgia State College Interim President Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers (left). Huey Spearman, president of the James M. Dye Foundation, also attended the presentation. The Dye Foundation provides funding for various initiatives on SGSC’s Waycross Campus, outside of state appropriations, including student scholarships and campus events and programs. The Satilla REMC Foundation has supported the Dye Foundation’s work for many years through the establishment of six scholarships, and the Foundation is grateful for the organization’s continued educational partnership.
